Radio Caroline announces Amazing Weekend!
29th October, 2007 Radio Caroline, the former offshore UK "pirate" radio station, has announced a Who Winning Weekend to take place the weekend of November 2/3/4. Prizes will include a pair of tickets to the London premiere of Amazing Journey on November 5, fourteen DVDs of Amazing Journey, two of them autographed by Roger Daltrey, and twenty copies of 'Endless Wire'. The station, which broadcast from 1964 to 1990 from ships in the international waters of the North Sea, is featured in Amazing Journey as the station that "broke" The Who's first single in the UK, 'I Can't Explain', and is credited by Roger Daltrey in the film as being largely responsible for "The British Invasion". Radio Caroline now broadcasts to the UK on Sky Channel 0199 and around the world on the internet at www.radiocaroline.co.uk .
